Membership in the association is by nomination by a member, not by the application. The Membership Committee evaluates the nomination after which it is circularized to the membership for comment. The Board then interviews the nominee and approves the nomination. Upon Board approval, the nominee is invited to become a member. If he accepts, he pays the membership fee prior to induction as a member.

Members are carefully selected to establish they possess the optimal work experience and recognition in their respective fields.   Actual in-depth experience (ideally of at least twenty years in the property industry or its allied fields) is important.As of 2022, the average age of the membership is 42 years old.Businesses are concentrated in Luzon, mostly in the National Capital Region. 

GREENPRO is envisioned as “the association of professionals and practitioners in the Philippine property industry who collectively represent a full spectrum of backgrounds and expertise, from project conceptualization to property management.” The members represent the key sectors of the local property industry (namely, residential, commercial, industrial, leisure and hospitality) and its allied businesses, in a diversity of professions and backgrounds.

GREENPRO is designed as a small group — fifty is the target maximum membership — to engender a dynamic exchange of ideas, active networking and good fellowship.
